Another similarity from the Titanic consists of the tragic ending of the two lovers. Gatsby sacrifices his name by protecting Daisy from accusations of killing a woman. Because of all the circumstances, Daisy decides to be with her husband, and not with Gatsby. Gatsby’s heart is broken, but still waiting for her to come back. While he is swimming in his pool, the phone rings. Believing that Daisy is calling, Gatsby comes out of the water to answer the phone, but suddenly gets shot in the back by the husband of the killed woman. His death separates him from Daisy forever. The Elysian Field is a place that people go to after death like paradise in Greek Mythology. Blanche lost herself in Laurel; she comes New Orleans to find her elysian field. The Elysian Field is a new place for her to forget her past. I think Blanche could not find the image of Elysian Field which she imagines because the houses have very poor style. Blanche arrives as a broken woman in New Orleans. She sold everything. It shows us Blanches despair. The loss of Belle Reve causes a conflict between Blanche and Stanley. Stanley wants his wifes share from Belle Reve. He does not believe Blanches lost of Belle Reve. As it is seen, this symbol affects characters behaviors to each other. Thirty Years Later- Kent State Thirty years later, just after noon, the Victory Bell again rings through the green grass of Kent State University's Commons. The bell rings twenty-seven times; one toll for each of the four students killed and nine wounded by the Ohio National Guard May 4, 1970, and 14 times in solidarity for the two students murdered and twelve wounded by Mississippi Highway Patrol at Jackson State University May 15, 1970 Kent State University officials stopped holding Commemoration ceremonies in 1975, but dedicated students have kept the ideals represented by the Kent State shootings alive. For the past twenty-five years, the students of the May 4th Task Force have organized the annual May 4th Commemoration ceremonies, bringing such speakers as Jane Fonda, William Kuntzler, Dr. Hellen Caldicot and performers including Peter, Paul and Mary, Joan Baez and Crosby, Stills and Nash. Co-chair of the May 4th Task Force from 1995-98, and still considered the backbone of the organization by many students, Kent State senior Wendy Semon believes that continued student activism is the true remembrance of May 4, 1970. "The living legacy of those four students is activism," Semon states. "The only appropriate way students of today can keep that legacy alive is to promote activism and educate others." This year, the Task Force brought some of America s most prominent leaders of social and political change to embody all facets of the current movement. These speakers include; the American Indian Movement's Vernon Bellecourt, environmental and social justice advocate Julia Butterfly Hill, Phi ladelphia's MOVE member Ramona Africa, Global Exchange's Julliette Beck, political prisoner Mumia Abu-Jamal and world-renowned political theorist Noam Chomsky. "So many movements are represented here today, the American Indian Movement, the environmental movement, anti-globalization, the MOVE organization. Because of its speed, low cost, and efficient use of technology, it is a management headache for every C.I.O. on the list of Fortune 1000. Besides the worry of ever changing viral and worm threats, supervisors have to monitor and manage the personal use of the company email system. There is also the need for companies to provide a certain amount of email archiving to allow for data recovery without exposing the company to unnecessary expenses in the event of retrieving evidence in legal matters. Another consideration is the way email has grown from an informal Internet line of communication to a high level and formal way of communicating in the modern workplace. Email in the Enterprise has brought on new challenges for the CIO, forcing the Chief Information Officer to safeguard against mal-ware, to be prepared for legal respo nsibilities, and to establish guidelines for use. Email has several pitfalls, which managers must learn to deal with. Of these concerns the more serious and prolific are the guarding against mal-ware, preparing for disasters, and the onslaught of the unsolicited email known as Spam. All of these problems can cost a company a lot of money to safeguard against and prepare for. It is like when my son asked me â€Å" how do plants grow?† This is a simple enough question but the explanation is a little more difficult for him to understand. The next question he had was â€Å"why are your plants so yellow?† I explained to him that plants need sunlight and water to grow and only certain amounts. But this did not explain why mom’s plants are yellow in color. So I explained to him that mom has not been taking care of her plants and how would he like to try to take better care of them so they will become green again. After a few weeks, my son was able to get most of my plants green in color, all except one that died from to much watering. Another question formed in his mind, he wonder why most of the plants turned green with the same amount of water but one died with the same amount of water. This process my son used was inquiring about the natural world, getting explanations, and he also experimented so that he could form his own ideas about how the world works. Although his initial question led him to ask another question, it was through this process that he could get answers to his questions. My son is always asking question about how many things in the world works, and it was not until recently that I encourage him to find the answers thru research and experiments of his own. Besides running and managing most of the nation’s Hydro Electric Power Dams, it is conversely the arm of the federal government acting to support the locals in case of a natural disaster. Every year, the agency responds to more than 30 natural disasters both in the USA and elsewhere, with flooding being the most common disaster faced. One of the main activities the USACE is involved with is the reconstruction of infrastructure in Iraq and Afghanistan. The history of the Corps dates back to the origins of the nation in the early 18th century, mostly during the revolutionary war .It came about as a desire to combat the several challenges facing the forces in terms of technical capabilities and skilled labor. Later in the 19th Century, the Corps resolved to inculcate civilians in to its mission to serve in areas with highly specialized labor as well as to quiet political demands of the locals. Today, the USACE is a large Federal Agency with branches all over and serving more than 130 countries worldwide.
